Contracting with Apogee to perform Zero Balance Reviews was a very beneficial decision for Hendrick Health System. They were able to do a four year lookback at denied accounts written off or not paid according to contractual agreements and realize a $1.5M recovery for our hospital. The insight I received from working with Apogee reaffirmed that our staff needed additional training on writing appeals and collection processes. We took full advantage of reviewing and realizing what we had done incorrectly in each recovery and by the end of our engagement with Apogee our staff was doing a very good job writing appeals and working accounts to completion.
